Bacne Spray

Many people suffer with seborrheic dermatitis more commonly known as “Bacne”. Although doctors have not pin pointed the exact cause of this annoying and even embarrassing from of acne, they believe that it roots from over active sebaceous glands, acne causing bacteria, and yeast irritation. They advise to keep area clean and dry and wear cotton instead of polyester or polyester blends. This allows for more air flow, drier conditions, and less opportunity for skin to get and stay overly oily.

If that isn’t enough to help out your problem, try a natural homemade remedy that combines skin aiding essential oils, sea salt to help keep sebaceous glands regulated, and good old water to help keep your skin hydrated while using a drying agent such as sea salt.

Now if you are like me you are thinking that chemically these ingredients don’t mix very well together and you would be absolutely right. I tried a similar recipe using an alcohol instead of water and salt because chemically it agreed but unfortunately it was way too harsh on the skin. Even though these ingredients may not link onto one another doesn’t mean that they won’t work. By using a “spritz bottle”, you will be distributing the ingredients evenly throughout the skin so don’t worry!

Ingredients

  • ¼ C. water (warm)
  • ¾ tsp. Sea Salt
  • 1 drop Lavender essential oil
  • 1 drop Tea Tree essential oil

Direction

  1. Heat water and pour into sprits bottle
  2. Add sea salt to the bottle, cap, then shake vigorously
  3. Add essential oils to the bottle, shake
  4. Spray affected areas and let dry before putting clothing on

Remember, because the ingredients do not “mesh” well together it is important for you to shake the bottle to combine the ingredients before every use. Also, make sure to continue seeing you dermatologist for bacne if it is a reoccurring problem. There may be more effective ways to relieving your problem.
